The Derun Four-Axle Box-Type Semi-Trailer with tarpaulin is a high-seal logistics trailer equipped with a retractable canvas roof. It retains the spacious and square design advantages of traditional box-type trailers while adding a waterproof, sun-resistant, and quickly deployable soft roof system on the top. The four-axle layout reduces single-axle load, ensuring smoother operation and making it ideal for long-distance trunk transportation. The exterior design is sleek, with smooth body lines and a low-drag airflow hood, balancing beauty with fuel efficiency.
The main frame is made of high-strength manganese steel through one-piece stamping, while the body uses a ‘sandwich’ composite panel structure with inner and outer steel plates sandwiching a polyurethane insulation layer, providing insulation, soundproofing, and moisture resistance all in one. The top canopy uses double-layer PVC-coated fabric with built-in aluminium alloy tracks, allowing full coverage or retraction in 3 minutes, eliminating the need for manual climbing onto the roof in rainy or snowy weather. The bottom is fitted with thickened anti-slip patterned flooring, allowing forklifts to move freely in and out; all four axles use German-style disc brakes + ABS, ensuring stability even on wet mountain roads.

The Derun four-axle box-type semi-trailer is positioned as a ‘high-value cargo all-round protector.’ The four-axle design allows the trailer to bear more weight within the regulatory gross weight of 49 tonnes, enabling the tractor unit to tow more easily and reducing fuel consumption by approximately 8%. The top canopy system is 300 kg lighter than traditional hard roofs. The entire vehicle has passed rain, salt spray, and high/low-temperature cycle tests, ensuring reliable operation in environments ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
It is widely used in scenarios with high requirements for waterproofing, theft prevention, and insulation, such as e-commerce logistics, cold chain food, tobacco, appliances, and high-end paper products. During peak logistics seasons, the cargo compartment transforms into a ‘mobile distribution centre’; for cold chain transportation, adding a refrigeration unit converts it into a refrigerated truck; during rainy seasons when transporting tobacco or appliances, pulling the top canopy ensures no water ingress, reducing cargo damage by 90%.
